Meet the Board

Martin Rowley graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1975. Chairman of the Company since October 2007; Retired executive Director of Business Development of First Quantum Minerals Ltd. from January 2007 to December 2017; Chief Financial Officer of First Quantum Minerals Ltd. from December 1997 to January 2007; Non-executive Chairman and a director of Lithium One Inc from November 2009 to July 2012. Non-executive Chairman and a director of Galaxy Resources Limited since November 2013.

Mark Frewin is the Interim CEO of the Company and he has been a Director since September 2005; Vice-President Legal Affairs of the Company from 2010 to 2017; Head of Legal Affairs of the Company from 2007 to 2010; Director of Caledonian Consultancy Limited since June 2013. Partner, McCarthy Tétrault LLP (Law Firm) from January 2006 to June 2013. Director of Giyani Gold Corp. from 2012 to 2016 and Chairman of Westbridge Energy Corp. from 2012 to 2015.

Jorge Estepa has served as Corporate Secretary of the Company since 2004 and Director since 2015. He is a University of Toronto graduate who has Der 25 years experience with publicly traded companies, serving in both investor relations and corporate administrative and development capacities. Mr. Estepa is and has been over the past 23 years an officer and/or director of numerous minerals resource public corporations listed on stock exchanges in Canada.

Paul Matysek has been a Director of the Company since October 2007; Mr. Matysek is a geologist/geochemist by training, a successful entrepreneur and creator of shareholder value with over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. Since 2004 as either CEO or Executive Chairman, Mr. Matysek has sold five publicly listed exploration and development companies, in aggregate worth over $2 billion. Mr. Matysek is the Chairman and CEO of Gold X Mining Corp. since March 2020; Chairman of Nano One Materials Corp since 2016, and Executive Chairman and Director of Victory Metals Inc. since January 2019

Richard Parkhouse was appointed as a Director of the Company in May 2021. Mr. Parkhouse is an experienced Board Director and Chief Operating Officer with over 30 years’ experience and has held a breadth of senior management appointments in global investment banks and asset management companies across strategic business development, marketing and investor advisory, and senior infrastructure and operational management roles. He has served on multiple private and public company boards in different jurisdictions focusing on governance, risk management and social responsibility matters. Mr. Parkhouse holds an Honours Degree in Economics from Brunel University and has also been awarded a distinction MBA in Finance from City Business School.

Jeremy Hangula was appointed as a Director of the Company in May 2021. Mr Hangula is an experienced project manager and market analyst in the Oil & Gas and Mining sectors of Namibia. He has been responsible as senior project manager for Intaka Technology since 2006 and more recently as Deputy Country Manager for GALP Energia since 2016. Also, since 2014, Mr. Hangula has acted as Government Relations Officer and Director for Trigon Mining which has given him significant experience and relations exposure with local Government stakeholders. Mr Hangula is also a Director of Custos Energy (Pty) Ltd.
