Our Commitment to Community and Sustainability
At Forsys Metals, we believe that mining is more than just extracting resources—it is about building lasting relationships and creating opportunities for the communities in which we operate. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focus on education, skills development, and sustainable partnerships that uplift individuals and empower the communities in which we operate.
We do not view CSR as a box-ticking exercise. Our approach is built on genuine engagement with local communities to understand their real needs and create initiatives that deliver lasting impact. We work closely with local leaders and organizations to ensure our CSR efforts are meaningful, targeted, and sustainable.

Investing in Education: A Foundation for the Future
One of our primary areas of focus is education. We recognize that access to quality education is a powerful tool for community development and long-term economic stability. In alignment with this commitment, we have recently taken these impactful steps:
- Mathematics Textbook Donation: In August 2024, during the first blast event at Valencia Uranium (VUL), we proudly donated 60 mathematics textbooks to Coastal High School in Swakopmund. As a leading technical high school in Namibia, Coastal High plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of skilled professionals, and we are committed to supporting its students in achieving academic excellence.
- NIMT Student Sponsorship: In March 2025, Forsys Metals took a significant step by sponsoring the registration fees of 20 students from the Arandis town to study at the Namibia Institute of Mining and Technology (NIMT). This sponsorship, totalling N$80,000, ensures that young, aspiring artisans have access to technical and vocational education, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in the mining industry.

Empowering the Workforce of Tomorrow
We understand that sustainable economic development depends on a well-equipped workforce. Our commitment to skills development is demonstrated through:
- Encouraging students to pursue careers in technical fields by offering educational support.
- Partnering with institutions like NIMT to ensure that local communities benefit from job opportunities created by our mining operations.
- Promoting hands-on training and internship opportunities, reinforcing the idea that education is an investment in the future.
Looking Ahead: A Future of Shared Growth
We remain dedicated to evolving our CSR initiatives to meet the changing needs of our communities. Whether through educational investments, environmental stewardship, or economic development, Forsys Metals is committed to a responsible and sustainable future for all.
We aim to strengthen partnerships with suppliers and service providers based in Arandis due to their close proximity to the Norasa Project. We have already engaged with the Arandis Town Council in this respect and will continue to seek for win-win relationships in terms of our procurement.
We invite stakeholders, community members, and partners to join us in shaping a future where responsible mining translates into real and lasting benefits for our local communities.
